Understanding your relationships and how to manage them

Why do we struggle to understand our relationships with family, friends or colleagues? What can we do to manage them better? A workshop suitable for both personal and professional development.

About this workshop

In this three-hour workshop, you will gain insight into how you can better understand why you may be struggling in relationships and what you can do to manage them better. You will do this by exploring the three cornerstone modalities of psychotherapy and counselling: Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

The format will be relaxed and welcoming. It will consist of structured learning, reflection activities and practical exercises. Powerpoint will be kept to a minimum!

Areas covered include: parent adult child (PAC), drama triangle, object relations, collectivism vs individualism, and autonomy.

Duration and location of workshop

This workshop lasts three hours between 1.30 and 4.30 on Saturday 14 May. It will take place at the Leicester Adult Education College, 54 Belvoir Street, Leicester LE1 6QL.

About the facilitator: Will Davies

Will is a BACP registered integrative counsellor working both short and long term with clients in Leicester and Leicestershire, through his private practice, Will Davies Counselling. Will is also a senior lecturer at Bishops Grossteste University in Lincoln and currently teaches on the single and joint honours Counselling courses.
