About this workshop
This workshop aims to look at why do we do what we do? Only a few words but a very big question and one that we’ve all no doubt asked ourselves at some point in our life. You will gain insight, through exploration of the three cornerstone approaches of psychotherapy and counselling (Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), into how we can develop understanding of ourselves and find answers to the question of why we do what we do.
It will be a relaxed format and consist of structured learning, individual reflection activities, practical exercises and Q & A – powerpoint will be kept to a minimum!
Areas covered: attachment, defence mechanisms, autonomy and self-actualisation, early development, cognitions, groups theory.
This workshop is being repeated on 14 May, 10am to 1pm.
Workshop duration and location
This workshop will last for 3 hours and is offered on Saturday 7 May, 10am to 1pm and on Saturday 14 May, 10am to 1pm. Both workshops will be held at the Leicester Adult Education College, 54 Belvoir Street, Leicester LE1 6QL.
Please note that each workshop needs a minimum of 10 people to run.
